A selection of hand carved Pictish and Celtic incense holders.
These were created for Kilmartin House Museum shop (but I am making these all the time should you wish me to create one for you).
The Crescent and V-rod was made from natural Windermere slate, whilst the Serpent and Z-rod and Celtic knot were made from natural Cornish sea stones.
Hand carved and hand polished from a serpentine stone found at Kynance Cove, Lizard Peninsula.
This stone was delivered to Samye Ling Shop, but I have collected many more serpentine stones for carving if you would like me to create one for you.
‘The Riggs Smiddy’ sandstone house sign.
Hand carved from a large (and extremely heavy!) reclaimed sandstone block.
Following carving, this was coated with three coats of stone stabiliser and the letters hand filled with masonry paint.
Tam is the ‘Bija’ or seed syllable for Green Tara and these were hand carved from natural slate found on the North Cornish coast.
The Tam syllable design on these carvings is used with kind permission from Tashi Mannox.
