Pig Wall Plaque

So, after I had carved the owl for my friend, she was so pleased she wanted me to design and carve a pig as a present (© Hatch, Burn, Carve/Martin Wilson).

If you would like me to design and carve an animal for you (or you can supply your own design), then please message me here, or email hatchburncarve@yahoo.co.uk

The Long Man

After carving the Uffington horse for a stable sign for my sister’s horse, I wanted to do more in the way of chalk hill figures.

I was given this very large (and consequently heavy!) Cornish roof slate, so it was the ideal media to carve a representation of the Long Man of Wilmington.

This is still for sale/ 60cm x 40 cm. Send me a message here, visit my Folksy Shop or email hatchburncarve@yahoo.co.uk

Here’s the slate after carving and the beginning of the slow job of hand-enamelling;
